Where is Almost the Donkey Derby taking place? The event takes place at Burnham Park, which is located on Windsor Lane, Burnham, SL1 7HR.
What time does the event start? The event will start at 12.00 and ends at 5.00pm.
Do I have to pay to enter? This is a free event however Burnham Beeches Rotary Club welcome all donations. You can find someone in a yellow t-shirt with a bucket to support! Card donations will be possible at the event information desk.
Do I need to book in advance? No, just turn up on the day.
Is there parking at the event? Yes, there is parking on site and you will be shown where to park on the day by Rotarians. There is limited disabled parking available. The entrance is via Priory Road. What3words - https://w3w.co/frog.given.wash
Are there public transport options nearby?
Railway – Burnham station is 0.8 mile away which is about a 17-minute walk.
Buses – there are local bus services to Burnham.
Is there food and drink available on the day? There will be various food options available with a bar serving prosecco, wine, beer and soft drinks.
Are there toilets provided on site? Yes, there are male, female and accessible toilets for public use.
Do I have to bring cash? Most stallholders have card machines therefore cash is not necessary.
Can I bring my pets? Yes - we welcome well behaved pets.
Are there bins? Yes. However, we encourage you to take your rubbish home with you.
What are we doing to keep you safe? The event has volunteers who can assist you - they'll be wearing high-visibility vests or yellow t-shirts.
Are there first aiders? Yes. Paramedics will be at the event in case of an emergency or guests feeling unwell. They'll be highly visible - or just ask a volunteer to assist you.
Do you donate to good causes? Burnham Beeches Rotary Trust is a registered charity. All income after expenses is donated to local charities and good causes and to assist with disaster situations overseas.
Will there be entertainment? Local organisations will be providing entertainment during the afternoon. There will also be a fun fair on site. Stall holders often have games and competitions to keep you entertained. There will also be supervised Donkey Rides for children.
Weather and Cancellations. We are hoping for a sunny day. If the event is cancelled, we will notify on social media.
